Topic: TB 3.0.1: problema invio email fastweb ed hotmail con LOG di connessione

Salve a tutti.

Dopo aver aggiornato Thunderbird alla versione 3.0.1 ho riscontrato problemi nell'invio delle email.

Per quanto riguarda le mie email Fastweb, il problema riguarda l'invio di mail con allegati.
L'errore segnalato in fase di consegna del messaggio è il seguente:

Non è riuscito l'invio del messaggio.
Non è stato possibile inviare il messaggio in quanto la connessione al server SMTP smtp.fastwebnet.it è andata fuori tempo massimo. Riprovare oppure contattare l'amministratore del server.

Per quanto riguarda poi un account hotmail, l'errore invece è il seguente:

Non è riuscito l'invio del messaggio.
Non è stato possibile inviare il messaggio in quanto la connessione al server SMTP smtp.live.com è stata persa nel mezzo della transazione. Riprovare oppure contattare l'amministratore del server.

Ho provato a controllare le impostazioni degli account ma non ho trovato nessun errore.

Preciso che utilizzo come SO Windows XP e come antivirus e firewall il Norton 360 2.5.

Per inciso ... ho provato inutilmente ad ottenere il log da thunderbird seguendo le istruzioni reperite sul forum.

Penso di sbagliare qualcosa .

Il comando start "C:\Programmi\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" lanciato dal prompt mi apre solo un'ulteriore finestra del prompt stesso e non thunderbird (come mi par di aver capito che dovrebbe fare).

Mi potete aiutare anche per questo?

È perchè lo start quando vede le virgolette lo interpreta come titolo e non come il percorso dell'applicazione
scrivi:

Codice: [Seleziona]

cd "\Programmi\Mozilla Thunderbird\"
start thunderbird

Se premi tab ti dovrebbe autocompletare i percorsi senza che li scrivi per intero.

Mentre aspetti qualcuno in grado di comprendere il log che hai riportato, prova a fare le seguenti cos:
1) Strumenti -> Opzioni -> Avanzate -> Editor di configurazione

trova:

Codice: [Seleziona]

mailnews.tcptimeout

e aumentane il valore (io ho 600 ma puoi anche mettere un valore più alto).


2) Prova - anche se  con il Norton è una roulette russa il troubleshooting - a disattivare il firewall e vedi se cambia qualcosa. Non usando questo software non posso essere più preciso a riguardo.

Ho modificato l'impostazione indicata ed ora sembra funzionare ...

Farò altre prove ... speriamo bene!

Prima avevo provato anche a disattivare il norton ... ma senza effetti positivi.

Scusate se ripropongo la discussione ma, dopo pochi giorni in cui il tutto sembrava funzionare, il correttivo su indicato non ha più sortito gli effetti sperati.

Ad oggi, anche dopo aver fatto l'upgrade alla versione 3.02, non riesco ad inviare email con allegati pesanti più di qualche decina di kb.

Sono costretto a ritornare alla versione 2 di tb?
