Su Firefox e solo su Firefox mi compare in alcuni sito il banner di offers4u, leggendo in giro sempre sia una robaccia che non so come ho preso installando forse qualche estensione/script greasmonkey...
Posso provare a scansionare la sola cartella di Firefox con qualche antispyware? O devo comunque fare tutto il computer?
Avete esperienze su questo offers4u?

Se non risolvi, ti prego di rivolgerti a qualche forum di informatica generale come html.it in quanto non si tratta di un problema relativo a Firefox ma dovuto a un malware/spyware/adware ecc.

no è proprio un problema di Firefox, perchè qualunque software antispyware non trova niente sul computer, anzi non di Firefox di un'estensione.
infatti dovrei finalmente aver scoperto di chi è la colpa: l'estensione Savefrom.net
Disinstallata non mi è ancora comparso il banner, forse ho trovato il colpevole.
L'illuminazione mi è venuta dal fatto che era una di quelle estensioni che oggi si erano aggiornate e fino a ieri non compariva nessun banner.

3. Locate "SaveFrom.net Helper".

4. Click Options. Nope, we're not finished yet.

5. Right at the bottom of the options page for this extension, there's a little button marked "Settings." Click that.

6. Right at the bottom of the settings list, there's an unexplained little extra item marked "Advisor". Yep, that's what you have to untick to avoid having your every web search snooped.

Did you happen to notice anything about an "Advisor", or what it does? No. Thought not.

So, ladies and gentlepeeps, what we have here is an extension, purporting to be a video downloader, that goes to extraordinary lengths to hide the fact that it includes spyware. These people are doing stuff that would be illegal in EU jurisdictions. Decide for yourself: is this trustworthy behaviour? Is this something you really want to have on your system?
