Topic: URL che esegue "exploit javascript"

Non ero sicuro se postare qui, su thunderbird o su "Siti non funzionanti", ma siccome l'URL che sto per proporvi funziona esattamente come (credo) dovrebbe e il problema nasce dal browser credo che qui sia meglio.

Naviagando a caso ho trovato un link segnalato come "link che fa crashare il computer".
Ho provato e improvvisamente mi si sono aperti una marea di "Nuovo messaggio" del mio client di posta (Thunderbird). O si chiude subito il processo o il pc smette di rispondere. Informandomi ho scoperto che è un "exploit javascript"   Cioè???

Il link ve lo metto nel prossimo post per non rischiare che un utente sbadato ci clicchi prima di finire di leggere.

EDIT by michro: ho reso il link "non cliccabile". @ziobubu, come riportato da AlexV, meglio racchiudere quei link con il tag code (vedi la modifica che ho fatto al tuo messaggio). Lo ottieni selezionando la parte che vuoi racchiudere nel tag e facendo clic sul pulsante che ha come immagine un foglio con il simbolo # nella sez. "Aggiungi codice BBC:" disponibile in fase di scrittura dei messaggi.

I stumbled across this URL while surfing the internet. This is a javascript “exploit” , it will hang/crash your system. It basically floods you with an infinite loop of mailto:xxx windows. To cancel this (and you have to move fast) kill the process of your email client before you run out of RAM. Every instance occupies about 1000 bytes, if your victim is smart, he better end the process As soon as possible or he will be forced to reboot his computer.

Proprio quello ho trovato! Ma non esistono modi per risolverlo? In realtà non ho capito cosa succede cliccando sul link... perché nè firefox nè l'Antivirus lo bloccano?

Non è un virus.

Nel sito da cui ho estratto il testo è riportato come 'scherzo' (con altri più dannosi; per questo ho preferito non postare il link).

Probabilmente è del semplice codice javascript che richiede l'invio di una nuova mail ("mailto:xxx") all'infinito
