Hi Paolo,
Ok, I see what we are dealing with now. Fewer icons are showing up with your language pack because the display of individual icons is based on the menuitem text label that is displayed in the browser.
I only have these in English. For example when the theme sees the menuitem "View Page Source" it knows to display a particular image. But when the theme sees the menuitem "Visualizza sorgente pagina" it says that's not on the list so there is no image to display.
You might also see this happening if you have the CuteMenus extension enabled and are using any of the other CuteMenus themes - except if someone, like you indicated by your link to
http://xoomer.virgilio.it/mirmaran/Cute_Menus_0.3.9_ITA.xpi , develops an extension for language support other than English that can act as a middleman translator.
I wish I didn't have to drop support for the CuteMenus extension but this was causing so many people problems with not knowing which version of the extension to install. Instead of contacting the extension developer, we themers were taking all of blame for not supporting it properly when there was nothing wrong with our support at all. I thought by coding the menuitem images directly into the theme this problem would be solved, plus I could add images that are not included in the extension and fill in a few more of the blanks. But apparently it only solves the problem for those using English. It never occured to me until now how this might affect users of other languages.
If you happen to have the MostlyCrystal.jar file for CuteMenus support hang onto it since I'm no longer offering it at the site. My only advice at this point is to remove the userChrome.css entry for importing the global/skin/subskin/menuitems.css file and go back to using the CuteMenus extension. Meanwhile I need to work on finding a method of defining these menuitem elements so that my userChrome option will work globally for all languages.
I'm sorry this was causing you so many problems.
I'll go ahead and post a "warning" at the site about multi-language incompatibility until I figure out a way to make this work for everyone.
Regards,
CatThief
